Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream – GOOD or BAD for young skin and aftereffects?

January 28th, 2012 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

I’ve heard about how great BB cream is, and Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream seems to do what I want it to, working as a moisturiser, sunscreen, softens, helps with acne etc.

However I have also heard the cons of this product, including:
- After stopping the use of this product skin is discoloured from the whitening agent
- After stopping the use of this product skin becomes saggy from the anti wrinkle agent
- Actually CLOGS pores instead
- Does not work well as a scar fader, skin regenerator and excess oil reducer

I am also 13 years old, with normal skin, and I really don’t mind if there isn’t much of the concealment factor in this BB cream, I’m just going for the skin benefits. I don’t plan to use this on a daily basis, probably every 2-3 days. I’m using this product solely for the purpose of healthy skin, of course I love the fact it gives a flawless no-makeup look but it’s not the main reason of me looking for a good bb cream.

So please, only if you have had PERSONAL experience with this product, it would help me SO much if you could answer these questions:

- Does Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream have aftereffects of skin discolouration/skin sagging after continuous use?
- Is it a bad thing to use a product with anti-wrinkle agents when I’m far from the stage when I need to?
- For those of similar/close age, has your experience with this product been satisfying?
- What effects (good and bad) have you seen since using this product?

THANK YOU ALL so much for your time, I really appreciate every answer!

Best drugstore moisturizer for dry acne prone skin?

January 26th, 2012 · Best Moisturizers For Sensitive Skin

In the summer I have oily acne prone skin but I’ve noticed that my face is not oily at all recently and it’s actually very dry. I live in New England so I’m attributing the dryness to the harsh winter weather! My usual facial routine is no longer cutting it and I find that the skin on my face is very flakey and dry. I usually use the Neutrogena pink grapefruit gel cleanser but I’ve switched over to the cream cleanser and I have noticed less dryness. I also use the Neutrogena daily moisturizer for sensitive skin and it was always enough moisture but now It’s just not cutting it. I think the biggest issue is that although my skin is really dry it’s also still very acne prone. I have large pores and a huge problem with blackheads! I need a moisturizer that’s going to give my skin the moisture it needs without making my skin oily or clogging my large pores! Help?!

Makeup for a 13 year old?

January 20th, 2012 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

Hi everybody! I’m 13 and just started wearing makeup, and I just wanted some opinions/brand recommendations. Is this too much makeup? Thank you!

1) Tintes moisturizer: Cover up my mild acne, moisturize because my acne products are harsh

2) Concealer (La Praire): Cover up my worse pimples, under my eyes for when I don’t get enough sleep.
I’m just curious, if the concealer is anti-aging is it bad for me at this age (my mommy(: said La Praire is a good brand, which is why I bought it, and after a week or two after I started using it I saw it’s anti-aging)?Can concealer cause wrinkles under the eye for somebody my age? Should I switch to an anti-acne concealer, and if al, what brand? Sorry about all those questions xD just I don’t to ruin my young skin.

3) Eyeliner/Eyeshadow: Experimenting with these to make my eyes pop and appear brighter. Eyeshadow is a shimmery gold. Eyeliner colors in pencil are purple, black, bronze/copper, in liquid liner I have gold, and a bronze/brown color.

4)Lipgloss/Tinted lip balm, to make my lips healthy and shiny.

Yeah so that’s it. Answers are appreciated, thanks!

does spf 15 really do anything?

January 7th, 2012 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

it just seems like such a low number that i feel like it doesnt really protect my skin.
i started using moisturizer with spf 15 and plan to keep using it everyday and touch up throughout the day for the new year (my new year’s resolution) , but im wondering if its a waste because spf 15 seems so low.
im 15 and very concerned about looking old at a young age so this is why im so protective of my skin. i really value my youth! haha
will using spf 15 everyday really help with preventing wrinkles when im older? or should i upgrade to a higher spf level?

I’m positive my skin is dry, I can tell that it’s dry. The flaring up is very much like eczema, and not oily.

Best Facial Moisturizer/Lotion for VERY dry skin?

January 3rd, 2012 · Best Moisturizers For Sensitive Skin

I am prone in the winter to VERY dry skin- cracks/bleeding, pain, everything. So I was wondering the BEST facial moisturizer/lotion for my skin type. Nothing with salicylic acid or benzyl acid obviously. Currently I use Neutrogena’s Oil Free moisture for sensitive skin & Pond’s dry skin cream. They work well, but slowly. I was wondering if there was a lotion that worked faster or more efficiently? Thanks so much! Also, any cleansers/masks that help moisturize & help with acne.

Best Facial Moisturizer for dry, sensitive skin?

January 2nd, 2012 · Best Moisturizers For Sensitive Skin

my skin has been getting really dry lately due to the cold weather change and the incorporation of new product in my skin care routine to fight acne. it’s caused my skin to be dry and flaky and also be really sensitive after washing it. i’ve used olay, neutrogena, purpose, clean and clear and all the drugstore brands. are there any out there that will really help add moisture to my face and keep it hydrated? i’d love if it would contain an spf of 30 or higher and a day and night cream suggestion would be best? thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Facial Cleanser/Facial Cleanser?

December 4th, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

What is a good facial moisturizer that won’t clog pores that is also cheap and easy to purchase at a local drugstore (i.e. Walgreen’s)?
Is there something that will work for a fourteen year old that isn’t ‘anti-aging’ or ‘anti-wrinkle’?
Also, what is a good, light, inexpensive cleanser that can be used to make skin look good, without over drying and reduce the appearance of acne?
If you can answer any one of these questions, please do so.
Thank you

anti-wrinkle cream, using too soon?

December 3rd, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

I have a sample of no7 protect and perfect cream, which is meant for ages 25-35. I am 23. I tried this cream on lastnight with my usual vitamin 3 cream on top because my face still felt a bit dry. I have acne prone skin but in winter it tends to get very dry and sometimes flaky so i apply loads of moisturiser with spf in it.

I have heard that using anti-wrinkle creams at the wrong age can sometimes speed up the aging process, so even though i woke up today and teh cream seemed to have made me skin glow i’m a little worried about continuing to use it, in case it does end up making me look older sooner.

what do you think, should i wait untill i’m 25 or older, or start using now?

thanks.

Sudden aging since my move; what can I do for my skin?

November 21st, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

Two months ago I left a very dry climate for grad school in Chicago. In that time I’ve aged years in my face, despite an increase in humidity. My skin is dull and blotchier and sinks in around my bones more. I have sunken eyes always and for the first time in my life, puffiness too. I have fine lines constantly that don’t go away with moisturizer and signs that they are deepening to real wrinkles. Even my boyfriend admitted he could see a difference in photos.

What’s going on? Could this all simply be stress? I’m freshly 24 and usually mistaken for much younger than that. What can I do (affordably) to bring back some glow?

I need a good anti-aging, SPF moisturizer… any suggestions?

November 18th, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

I’m 24 and have always used a cheapy clean & clear moisturizer but lately (and maybe the whole turning 25 thing) I’ve noticed my skin just is not the same as it was 5 years ago, and I want to take extra precautions and prevent sun spots (I have one, already!), wrinkles, and sagging neck. Please help! :) I’d be willing to pay up to for something that’s really good!

Do I Have A Good Skincare Routine?Who Will Age Better?Me or Them?

November 17th, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

I’ 16 & have oily/acne prone skin,here’s my skin care routine:
Morning:
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Blemish Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser(Salicylic Acid)
Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner
Biore Dual Fusion Moisturizer & SPF 30
I’ll add a Final touch of Neutrogena Sunblock with Helioplex and an SPF of 70 or higher if i’m going outside

Night:
Clean and Clear Continuous Acne Fighting Cleanser(Benzoyl Peroxide)
Witch Hazel(as toner)
Biore Hard Day’s Night Moisturizer

weekly:St.Ives blemish and blackhead control scrub

My friends, who are 16 turning 17 and 18,say I try too hard with my skin care routine. They say i don’t need to do all that at my age, because it’s all natural.I’m actually very consistent and picky about my skincare routine because I have oily/acne prone skin, skipping cleansing will cause me to break out. They NEVER wear sunblock or sunscreen, even at after school band practice, might I add we live in Tx,so it can get up to 95 degrees at band practice and the rays are strong. And they don’t wash their faces 2x a day and sometimes sleep with their make-up on.Nor do they moisturize.Every body thinks the 16 year old is the oldest, like 19/20,and she’s already getting spots on her face from band practice. They said i’m going to age badly because of my routine.

1)Is my skin care routine good?
2)Who will age better?Me or them?

Moisturizer suggestions?

November 16th, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

I’m running low on my moisturizer (Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15) and I’m looking for suggestions as to what to purchase. I know you’re suppose to be consistent when it comes to skincare, so I’m looking for something I can invest in for the next few years.

Information about myself:
- Oily-Combination skin
- Occasional acne
- 17 years of age

What I’m looking for:
- Department store brand
- Age-appropriate (I don’t need anything with wrinkle fillers, for example)
- Loaded with anti-oxidants and other vitamins that are good for the skin

Thank you. :)

How can you reduce the reaction to stress on your face!? *beauty*?

November 12th, 2011 · Best Moisturizers For Aging Skin

My fiancĂ© has been in Afghanistan since May, and recently when he came home for his R&R he said something about the way I look. He said that I look exhausted, and that I don’t have that fresh faced smile that I always have had. He NEVER meant it as a comment to hurt my feelings, gosh no. He is far too sweet to ever say something like that. He just is very concerned and worried about my stress levels.. He feels bad enough being away for so long under horrible conditions, and he can tell that its really taken a toll on me.. Which in turn makes me feel worse! lol..Obviously stress takes it’s toll on your face, and I can see it written all over mine in the form of wrinkles, bags, and puffy eyes. It looks like I’ve aged 10 years in a matter of 6 months, and no– this is not an exaggeration. I wish it were though. No matter how much sleep I get, I constantly look like I’ve been dragged through a corn field.

I’d really like to get my fresh face back before we get married in February :) Does anyone have any all natural or home remedy suggestions that I could try out? perhaps maybe a certain vitamin that will help my skin and hair, or maybe an in expensive moisturizer or face cream? Anything and everything is SO greatly appreciated :)
